Five Golden Rules in Mealtime

1. Drink at least two glasses of water. According a fundamental research in human digestive physiology, it is advised to drink at least two to three glasses of water before and after any meal. The purpose of water is to provide our stomach extra supply of oxygen when it is about to digest. Our stomach needs lots of oxygen when it comes to digestion, where if it would be deprived, it will signal your brain to yawn or to make us feel sleepy during the process of digestion.
That's why, in order for us not  to feel sleepy, constantly yawning or always feeling tired after any meal, drink lots of water for your tummy.

2. Eat sweets after meals! Sweets contain high sugar levels, which are badly needed by our cells to produce energy (in the form of ATP). Giving our tummy a treat of sugar will surely provide our  tons of energy  to aid its digestion, especially if we ate heavy meals.
Just remember that too much is not good, so must also be careful on eating too much sweets; unless you might want to get a type - II diabetes.

3. Chew your foods thoroughly. We often hear these at school or at television ads, but it is one of the golden rule in eating. Chewing our foods thoroughly means we must cut our food into very little pieces. Because once it's cut thoroughly the digestion of our food will be much easier and faster which gives  our tummy less stress. Aside from that, we can get the most of the nutrients inside the food we eat if it was chewed properly.
Of course, it would be pleasant to someone who's eating with us seeing us not eating voraciously as if its the end of the world.

4. Never forget to wash your hands before and after eating. Same with number three, we always perceive this notice in school and health ads. Its self-explanatory. Once you got too many bacteria on your hands because of lack of hygiene, you'll get yourself to the perils of disease and hospitalization and much worse death. So always keep your self clean, not only your hands but your whole body.

5. Always love fiber-rich foods. Keep in mind that fiber-rich foods acts as a sweeper inside your tummy. Since most of fiber-rich foods aren't digested quickly by our tummy, along its journey into our digestive tracts, these fiber attracts or sweep unwanted deposits such as fats, toxins and free radicals.
